Baliwag DTI Go Negosyo Center will soft launch on June 28.

The Local Government of Baliwag and the Department of Trade and Industry jointly agreed to soft launch the center on June 28 even if the ViP Restrooms are still being constructed to be able to begin the service for the benefit of the business community. While the Business Permits and Licensing Office upgrades its list of business establishments with delinquency, the opening will benefit them as application of new DTI Registration will be done in Baliwag, saving them material time to go to Malolos. The Negosyo Center will also be home to the Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Baliwag, Inc, the recognized main business group recognized by the local government.

DTI postponed the scheduled visit of Sen. Bam Aquino as it anticipates the launch of Baliwag’s BOSS Center in line with its Seating Pretty ang Tax Payer sa Baliwag Program which was created thru an Executive Order signed by Mayor Ferdie Estrella. The EO is similar to the JMC issued by DILG, DTI and DoF aimed at streamlining the application and release of Business Permit.

Baliwag was rated this year by the Central Luzon Corridor Foundation with a 91% score from its previous rating of 79%

Tita Dely of Ortega’s Frozen Foods and Mr. Tinapay, Named as One of the Most Outstanding Bulacan Businessmen 2017

Baliwag, Bulacan – When you crave for tocino, hotdog, and other meat products, where do you go to buy to satisfy your cravings?  Definitely when you are in Baliwag, first that will ring a bell is Ortega’s Best.

The person behind the successful Ortega’s Frozen Foods and also Mr. Tinapay is none other than Ms. Hedeliza DC. Mangulabnan otherwise known as Tita Dely to her relatives, friends and employees.

Being a hands-on entrepreneur and having a well-balanced skill in managing people, Mrs. Mangulabnan has been awarded as one of the Seven Most Outstanding Bulacan Businessmen, Processed Food Industry Category at this year’s awarding ceremony held at One Grand Pavilion,Bulihan ,Malolos City.  “MOBB 2017: A Celebration of the Bulakenyo’s Entrepreneurial Success” is this year’s theme for the event.

‘Dely may have never planned to be an entrepreneur when she was studying, but because this is what fate had designed for her, she might as well make it to good use.  As Filipinos love to eat, she believes that there is good business in food.’   (An excerpt from MOBB Citation)

The Bulacan Chamber of Commerce  and Industry Inc. in partnership with the Provincial Government of Bulacan   through their Screening and Selection Committees had chosen Tita Dely to be a recipient of the MOBB awards together with other six Bulacan businessmen namely Aurora F. Sumulong, Food Service Industry; Guillermo C. Simeon, Industrial Manufacturing; Gerry Lim Bon Hiong, Manufacturing-Paper Products; Maura D. De Leon, Food Processing-Health and Nutrition Supplements; Manuela T. Gonzales, Concrete Manufacturing and Virgilio Columna, Construction Category.

The MOBB awards night was graced by Mrs. Jonah Nubla-Estrella, wife of Mayor Ferdie Estrella in support of the Baliwagenya awardee.  It was also attended by the Committee Members of the Baliwag Chamber of Commerce  and Industry led by Mr. Bienvenido S. Gonzales and Ms. Karen Rivera, Investment Promotions Officer of Municipality of Baliwag.

This year’s President of the Executive Committee of the BCCI is also a Baliwagenya,  Mrs. Gregoria G.Simbulan, Co-owner of the Simbulan Industries, Phils. Inc..  Meanwhile her husband , Mr. Renato G. Simbulan, Chairman Emeritus of the BCCI and CEO of  Simbulan Industries, Phils. Inc.  was  awarded this year  by the Baliwag Municipality as Dangal ng Baliwag sa sa Larangan ng Kalakalan at Industriya.

Mayor Ferdie nais pa ng isang tulay na magdudugtong sa Baliwag at Bustos. Pinagbarilan Flyover, hiniling sabay na hiniling ni Cong. Apol at Mayor Ferdie.

map bustos

Words spread fast like wildfire, ika nga ni Mayor Ferdie. What we like to investors to see is how governance efficiency level in Baliwag has dramatically improved in the last 9 or 10 months. I don’t say that the local government now is perfect but, I hope, people already started to feel the sincerity of serbisyong may malasakit.

Infrastructure projects must be strategically prioritized based on the benefit not only of one sector but also of those that will help prime the economy, accelerate inclusive growth and increase efficiency and productivity levels.

DTI’s GO Negosyo to situate in Baliwag

With a bustling trade and commerce dating back during the Spanish era, Baliuag evolved to be not just a center of commerce but also a hub for education, servicing a wide-base of market covering (12) twelve Bulacan towns and (5) five from Pampanga.

Until now, Baliuag stands side by side with the City of Malolos as recognized priority centers under the Philippine Development Plan 2017-2022. It means Baliuag is a recognized hub where commerce expected to explode exponentially.

Unfortunately, these strengths were totally disregarded for so long. The market is growing only naturally, without any effort to flex its muscles.

With DTI GO NEGOSYO here in Baliuag, applying for a trade name will be an arms reach. Our SME’s will have the chance to benefit from various technical assistance on developing local products. Baliwagenyos will be given the chance to improve their packaging and create premium for their products following national and export-quality products.

Mr. Bienvenido Gonzales was recently elected to lead the Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Baliwag after Mayor Ferdie moved to organize a group that will represent the best interest of the business community.  The chamber will co-locate with DTI and the newly-created Baliwag Investment Protection Unit.
