Baliwag HighFVE App, Shortlisted sa Award of Excellence in ICT for LGU ng DILG-NiCP

Magkakatuwang at Malasakit

Response and Protocol Review

Felix the Great

Why is the LGU ordinarily BUSY?

The coming week is seen to be ordinarily busy, “that is the NEW NORMAL”, an employee of the Local Government joked.

June 19 – Self Assessment Customer Satisfaction, Municipal Child-Friendly Evaluation

June 20 – High FVE sa Barangay

Inauguration of Footbridge

Cluster Meeting of the Social Protection Sector

June 22 – ECCD Parent’s Briefing AM PM and Meeting of the Private Schools Consortium with Offices of Environment, Public order and safety and Health and Nutrition.

Baliwag Local Civil Registry Chief Dolores Lumabas also came to notice how employees seemed to be always doing something and on guard all time. Nabuhayan ng dugo“, a Filipino idiomatic expression for awakened senses or resurrected dynamism.

That one could be the result of a counter-culture program launched by Mayor Ferdie when he assumed office. They live up to the mantra: dapat serbisyong may malasakit at kung may malasakit daw ito ay kailangan maagap, magiliw, maaasahan, mahusay at magkakatuwang. The feedback mechanism was also working very good for the people with so many platforms available such as the website, calls and texts to hotline, suggestion boxes and of course, facebook, all of which are working 24/7. In short, these times are times, difficult not to know if you are working as per target. The Municipality of Baliwag is strictly adhering to the Strategic Performance Management System and is vying for the Seal Of Local Good Governance and ISO Certification. Both of which are requirements for the release of the Performance Based Bonus.

Municipal Administrator Enrique Tagle said: “Like what Mayor Ferdie said, Baliwagenyos deserve nothing but the highest form of service. The employees, well most of them, are embracing this new culture of governance. This is a time when employees take so much pride in wearing their uniforms and IDs. Yes, I can say, there’s a sense of pride in it. In the LGU, we continue to aspire for that day, when people and institutions will equate government to efficiency.”

Limang Quick Response Vehicle nakatakdang I-turnover ngayon.

DPWH set to turnover footbridge with elevators to LGU Baliwag

The Department of Public Works and Highways will be turning over a 15 Million footbridge located at BS Aquino Avenue, Barangay Tangos sandwhiched between the two campuses of the Montessori de Sagrada Familia (MDSF) The footbridge was made possible thru the initiative of Congressman Apol Pancho.

The Sangguniang Bayan ng Baliwag has given the green light for Mayor Ferdie Estrella to sign a memorandum of agreement to accept the said footbridge. The project is expected to ease traffic  congestion in the area which is worsened by crossing pedestrians mostly, students and parents of MDSF. The footbridge is equipped with elevators on both sides.

The inauguration is scheduled on June 20 at 9:00am. DPWH Officials, Congressman Apol Pancho, Mayor Ferdie Estrella, Sanggguniang Bayan members and the Barangay Tangos officals are expected to attend the inauguration.

Mayor Ferdie called for Emergency Meeting of the Peace and Order Council, PNP COP declared no threats on terrorism.

Mayor Ferdie Estrella called for an emergency meeting of all heads of Security of malls, supermarkets and schools this afternoon at the Municipal Conference Hall to keep them on guard and vigilant at all times despite ruling out terrorism as the cause of the tragedy last night at Resorts World Manila.

PNP Baliwag Chief of Police Froilan Uy declared that reports lingering on social media regarding presence of Terrorist group ISIS was merely a bad joke, caused by a very irresponsible netizen. The post that was reshared over a thousand times was deleted as of this time.

Possibly, that post and the recent happenings in Marawi and Resorts World Manila have heightened fears of the public.

Mayor Ferdie Estrella however, is not taking any tables unturned. He reminded security units and the public to remain vigilant at all times. He also ordered security officers to be strict in inspecting bags of any shoppers coming in of malls and other establishments.

Nobody will be exempted even I or any of my personal bodyguards must be searched the mayor quipped.

Taking the road-less traveled, Baliwag welcomes today Seal of Good Local Governance Evaluators

The Municipal Government of Baliwag welcomes evaluators from the Department of Interior and Local Government and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Inc. for the scheduled Seal of Good Local Governance validation today. The Local government will be assessed on four core sectoral areas such as Financial Administration, Disaster Preparedness, Social Protection and Public Order and Public Safety. The LGU must pass all four core areas, not missing even a criterion under those four sectors. Meanwhile, there are three essential areas that must be met including environment, business friendliness and competitiveness and tourism, arts & culture.

Baliwag failed to receive the most coveted seal of good local governance for the past years. Last year, DRT, Plaridel, Guiguinto, Calumpit and San Rafael received the Seal.

Baliwag Mayor Ferdie Estrella encourages all employees and Baliwagenyos to support the bid.

The seal will be one of the measures that will be used to ensure that a higher level of service standard is in place, translated to serbisyong may malasakit.

May the odds be ever in your favor, Team Serbisyong may Malasakit.

Baliwag is a center of education in the province with students coming from as far as  Nueva Ejica and Pampanga. Baliuag University is granted Autonomous Status and is one of the premier universities in the nation.

Food Safety
Likewise, Mayor Ferdie asked another member of the Joint Inspection Team, Health Sanitation to make sure no table is left unturned for canteens, eateries inlcuding peddlers. Food preparation area must be inspected making sure that the food of our children are prepared properly.

Cleaning materials or chemicals must not in anyway be found where the food is prepared to avoid it from accidentally mixing it with food ingredients.

NO SMOKING ZONE
Meanwhile, Baliwag Municipal Health Officer, Dr. Mary Joan Dinlasan, reminded BARANGAY CAPTAINS, SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS AND PTA’s to help the ecopolice enforced the NO SMOKING Law. Baliwag has an ordinance and an executive order to that effect.

Somestreets will really be no smoking streets and no cigarette selling by mere presence of schools and hospitals.
