SMCB Alumni bring honor to their Alma Mater

Booming milestones for true blooded Ignacian Marians proudly raise St. Mary’s College of Baliuag’s seal of excellence in the local and global stage.

“Work hard in silence, and let your success be your noise”, as said by Franc Ocean is recently what 23 outstanding alumni and a current student of St. Mary’s College of Baliuag are making through an exemplary signature in their chosen fields.

Now, witness the 24 reasons behind the sterling triumph of Ignacian Marians:

  1. Kristine Danielle G. Maximo is UP Diliman’s 2017 Magna Cum Laude in BS Business Administration. She’s from SMCB GS Batch 2008-2009/HS Batch 2012-2013. Used to be known as the “lovely girl of the campus with an exceptional persistence in her study”, she is now on her way to being a competent business woman in the corporate world.
  2. Maria Leanna Sunga Caylao, MD proudly stood out among the medical students in UST as Magna Cum Laude, Benemeritus, Doctor of Medicine Class 2017 – Faculty of Medicine and Surgery. She is from SMCB GS Batch 2004-2005 and HS Batch 2008-2009.
  3. Patrick R. Garcia dominated the future accountants in Baliuag University as he graduated Magna Cum Laude in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. He belongs to SMCB HS Batch 2011-2012 .
  4. As one of the leading torchbearers of the core values of excellence and service, the notable Bulacan Board Member Enrique De la Cruz was recently recognized as the “Gawad Dangal ng Baliwag 2017 – Paglilingkod sa Pamahalaan.” Atty. Dela Cruz belongs to SMA HS Batch 1991-1992.. Currently, he is the Secretary-General of the National Movement for Young Legislators.
  5. The producer and director of Jazz in Love (2013), A Letter from Ifugao (2011) and Sunday Beauty Queen (2016), award winning Director Babyruth Villarama Gutierez was greatly distinguished as “Gawad Dangal ng Baliwag 2017 for Media”. Surprisingly and proudly enough, she is a member of SMA GS Batch 1991-1992 and HS Batch 1995-1996.
  6. A witty and brilliant 17- year old SMCB Senior High school student, Jean David Solis, 12-St. Agnes, was also awarded “Gawad Dangal ng Baliwag 2017- Natatanging Kabataan.” He directed the short film “Malaya” which was nominated to compete in the 10th International Children’s Film Festival which he attended in Bangladesh this year.
  7. Diane B. Vigilancia graduated Cum Laude in BS Psychology, Centro Escolar University. She is from SMCB HS Batch 2012-2013.
  8. Bianca Camille SJ. Aquino, SMCB GS Batch 2007-2008 and HS batch 2011-2012 graduated Cum Laude, Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Baliuag University.
  9. Willaine F. Agustin from SMCB HS Batch 2012-2013 also graduated Cum Laude in BSBA, Major in Human Resource Management from Baliuag University.
  10. Christine C. De Jesus also graduated Cum Laude in BS Social Work from Baliuag University. She is from SMCB HS Batch 2012-2013.
  11. Mark Angelo R. Arceo, SMCB HS Batch 2011-2012, is another Cum Laude in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Baliuag University.
  12. Mary Joys G. Mendoza graduated Cum Laude in BS Psychology from Baliuag University. She belongs to SMCB HS Batch 2012-2013.
  13. Chelsea Marie M. Bautista lived the core value of excellence as she graduated Cum Laude in BS Psychology from Baliuag University. She is from SMCB GS Batch 2008-2009 and HS Batch 2012-2013.
  14. Maria Patricia DV. Santos graduated with Honorable Mention from Ateneo de Manila University with a degree in BS Psychology. The once leading and active Student l Council officer is from SMCB GS Batch 2008-2009 and HS batch 2012-2013.
  15. Joyce Anne R. Cruz is a proud 2016 Bar Exam Passer, Juris Doctor, from Ateneo De Manila University. She is a member of SMA GS Batch 1998-1999 and SMCB HS Batch 2002-2003.
  16. Erlene Luz V. Dela Cruz, current Baliuag Councilor, is another 2016 Bar Exam Passer. She took up Juris Doctor from Far Eastern University. She is from SMA GS Batch 1998-1999 and SMACB HS Batch 2002-2003.
  17. Chestanica Panganiban, SMCB HS Batch 2005-2006, also a 2016 Bar Exam, Juris Doctor from San Sebastian College- Recoletos.
  18. Adonis Robles Sepacio, CPA, passed the 2016 Bar Exam. He is a graduate from San Beda College. A member of SMCB GS Batch 2001-2002 and HS batch 2005-2006.
  19. Boz Faulo Santos is a 2017 CPA Exam Passer who graduated from Baliuag University. He belongs SMCB GS Batch 2006-2007 and HS Batch 2010-2011.
  20. Ma Lucille Trina R. Santos, SMCB GS Batch 2006-2007 and HS Batch 2010- 2011, is another 2017 CPA Exam Passer. She graduated from Baliuag University.
  21. Lara Kylie L. Dionisio, BSN graduate from SMCB Class 2012, passed the 2017 PNLE .
  22. John Paul Cruz of SMCB GS Batch 2007-2008 and HS Batch 2011-2012 is a 2017 LET Passer. He graduated from PUP Manila.
  23. Eunica Shayne Jordan is another   2017 LET passer. She belongs to SMCB BSED Class 2015.
  24. Lara Mae R. Berboso, member of SMCB BEEd Class 2016, is also a 2017 LET passer.

 Congratulations to these 24 student and alumni achievers for   excelling in their chosen field and making their Alma Mater proud! They   are the constant reminders that the edge of being Ignacian Marians has no limit. This only happens if the power of Faith, Excellence and Service are truly rooted in one’s heart and submerged in one’s soul, and these GS/HS/College graduates are just breathing proofs of SMCB’s trademark at its best. Truly, as the school tag line says it all: “You know the difference!”
